That Onix looks badass.

Reply Tepig16, December 20th, 2018, 12:14 am

@That1Geek: Bad-ass yet creepy with its, presumably, four eyes

Seems like Rayquaza was in the big strong clan.

There's someone about this page that I absolutely love.

That's an awesome set up of defender Pokémon.

Looks like a lean on Dragons, though doesn't seem surprising with Rayquaza there.

...I'm rooting for Heliolisk.

Really nice details on the 4-eyed Onix and the trunked Mamoswine! Especially the Mamoswine... I can see how you gave the Onyx extra eyes to make it extra "monstrous", but the trunk? Is that a personal take of the comic artist on the Mamoswine design? Really interesting either way!

@Komodo23: They are supposed to be Feral Pokemon, so they have a look that is more akin to real life animals~

@Haychel: ooooh, nice concept! As an avid pokemon fanfic and comic reader I've always liked to think about how pokemon can be more "biologically diversified" than they appear in the games, and this particular idea is very very clever both as a visual cue and easy to understand. Of course wild, savage pokemon look more animalistic! Kind of hope you guys will adress how savage wild pokemon do become civilized (PMD games wild ones recruitment) at a later point, because that would be something really interesting to look into, but from what I've seen so far it would be both hard to explain and probably need an entire story arc to give it justice... Your story and all the work you've put into this is already amazing as it is, so even if never do I'll survive. You guys are amazing, both as individual creators AND as a team.

Good work, and thank you for everything you've already done for us!

Though they are* extracted from truths or lies.

@That Awkward Water Master: You might (understandably!) have been thrown off by the ellipsis, since there would normally be a comma there if the sentence weren't split into two bubbles, but it actually is correct as it's written!
"Be they" is sort of like another way of saying "whether they are" - you could think of the sentence as "Whether they are extracted from truths or lies, we all cling to them in our darkest moments..."
That said, you would almost never start a sentence with "be they" on its own - it has to be part of a complex sentence - so the fact that the ellipsis sort of disguised or hid the comma might be what made you think it was wrong. It's also pretty uncommon in modern speech in general - it's being used here to sound formal and a little bit old - so I can see why you were confused! C:
